In June of 2007, I went to Spain to attend a painting workshop in a small town north of Girona in the foothills of the Pyrennes. I was charmed. On my return, I spent the next three months working on a series of gouache (a water-based medium) on bristol board paintings, all 5x7 inches (12.7x17.7 cm.), mostly depicting the town of Mieres, where the workshop was held, and a town north of there called Banjoles.

All paintings have been sold or gifted to our hosts in Spain.
